Jordi Alumà Grau

Study Director (Pathologist)

He has a degree in medicine from Universidad Autònoma of Barcelona and over 30 years of professional experience. He began his professional career as Pathologist at Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo Aplicado, CIDA sal, in Barcelona.

He was the Head of the Pathology Laboratory of the CROs (Contract research Organization) RCC Ltd and Harlan Laboratories S.A., both located in Barcelona.

He has experience in toxicological pathology for acute, subacute and chronic studies in all species (rodents, Beagle dogs, NZW rabbits, minipigs and Cynomolgus monkeys).

From 2005 to 2015 he was associate pathologist in AnaPath GmbH.

In 2004 he founded Patconsult. BCN in Barcelona and in 2018 Patconsult. LAB.

He has worked on the evaluation of experimental models, studies of efficacy and bioavailability.

Sandra Gonzalez

Lab Technician Head

As an anatomic pathology and cytopathology lab technician and with 20 years of professional experience in the field, Sandra is specialised in the histologic processing of samples of all preclinical species under GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).

She has worked in the Pathology Department of different CROs based in Barcelona (Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo Aplicado, CIDA sal, RCC Ltd, Harlan Laboratories S.A. and Envigo S.A.).

She has worked in biomedical research projects where she has incorporated new cytological and molecular techniques.

David Perez Caceres

Study Director (Pathologist)

Graduate in Biology with 20 years of experience in animal research work as a researcher and support technician.

From 2016 to 2022 he has worked as a technical manager in the Animal Histopathology laboratory of the CCiT as the University of Barcelona. He carried out the histological processing and assisted researchers in the histopathological evaluation of their research animals.

Sílvia Poch Casado​

Study Director (Pathologist)

Sílvia received her VMD from the Autonomous University of Barcelone (UAB). Following graduation, she worked as a small-animal practitioner and as clinical pathologist in some private vet centers. She then entered in a veterinary diagnostic lab where she specialized in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, managing histologic and cytologic diagnosis, necropsies ang haemathology.
After 14 years of experience as anatomic pathologist in several private diagnostic labs, 9 of them as Head of Pathology Department, her professional interests include diagnostic pathology of small animals, with a special interest in Toxicological Pathology.
